China is developing a new stealth military aircraft, provisionally known as the Chengdu J-36.

Not yet officially unveiled, it stands out for its innovative design, tailless, with three engines and a structure optimized for stealth reconnaissance and attack missions.

Few images of the jet circulate on social media, but they have already sparked interest from experts due to its aerodynamics and unconventional appearance.

Manufactured by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group, the J-36 has a triangular shape and has been informally nicknamed “Ginkgo biloba,” referring to the Chinese plant. The aircraft features three engines, one under each wing and one behind the cockpit, and wingtip flaps that enhance maneuverability. There are also indications it can carry weapons such as missiles, although no fully armed units have been seen in action yet.

Additionally, the J-36 was designed with stealth technologies to evade radar and surveillance systems, enabling secret operations. It is estimated that the aircraft is about 21 meters long and has a wingspan of up to 6 meters.

Alongside the J-36, China is working on another advanced stealth model, the Shenyang J-50, which is in early development and may operate from aircraft carriers.
